As we already know, Mahindra has been working on the all-new model of the Scorpio SUV for quite some time now, and finally, it has revealed the upcoming model. The test mule of the 2022 Scorpio was sighted plenty of times and hinted at the design language of the car.
The interesting thing is that the brand has also renamed the Scorpio by adding the suffix N to it. It needs to be mentioned here that the existing model of the SUV will be sold along with the new model, but it will also be renamed, most likely “Scorpio Classic.” According to the latest details available, Mahindra is planning to launch the new Scorpio-N in India on June 27, 2022.
With the introduction of the next-gen model, Mahindra intends to entice the young as well as technology lovers since, in this modern era of sophistication, all other carmakers are offering their cars with cutting-edge tech specs. And hence, the automaker has teased the model with the tagline “BigDaddyofSUVs.”
The Scorpio-N will also be built on the ladder frame and will enter the lineup of other ladder frame-based SUVs like the Thar, Bolero, Bolero Neo, and its own sibling, the current-gen Scorpio.
The upcoming SUV will be manufactured at Mahindra’s state-of-the-art Chkan plant where a skilful team of designers has worked hard to give the dream of a powerful as well as wonderfully designed SUV life. Also, the brand has confirmed that the 2022 Scorpio-N will have both diesel and petrol powertrains along with a 4×4 wheel drive option. Buyers will have the option of choosing from the offered automatic and manual transmissions.
Drawing inspiration from the current model, the new Scorpio-N has a suave design language and boasts Mahindra’s butterfly logo like the XUV700. Some of the key design elements of the upcoming SUV include a chrome radiator grille, twin-pod headlights, attractive alloy wheels, shark fin antenna, roof rails and more. Mahindra is expected to officially reveal the rear design and the interior of the Scorpio-N in the coming days. Watch this space!
