2017 Suzuki WagonR Officially Unveiled in Japan

2017 Suzuki WagonR Officially Unveiled in Japan

Suzuki Motor Japan is ready with the next generation WagonR models and this time, the changes can be spotted in a single look itself. The old, boxy styling will definitely get enhanced with the fresh changes, glorifying its tall boy design and introducing new elements at every possible angle. The new design is actually carrying that love me or hate me attitude with clear loud changes that even a beginner can express in simple words.

The front gets a dual fascia in regular WagonR, carrying two headlight clusters on each side and two upper grills in between both the set of lights. The lower air dam is normal in size and carries the same 3 slit design to the side black panels that were once used to hold fog lights for the car. The B-pillar has been thickened and given a different design for no actual reason. The rear end supports large glass section and van like lights under the boot door.

A perfect box design is actually seen on the rear end of the car. Stingray, on the other hand, is carrying a single set of lights, swept back like the lights on a Cadillac. It carries fog lights in those lower sections while its upper grill is actually noticeable due to the extra large size. The side profile and rear end for both the cars remain same on both 2017 models, coming out as the biggest disappointment due to the odd placement of lights and boot handle.

WagonR carries all Beige interior, making it more in sync with its character while the Stingray carries that Sporty Black finish all around in its cabin. The dashboard is minimalistic and more focus goes on the touchscreen system and center placed instrument console of the car. The gear lever can be found on the dashboard itself. Both the cars are using Japan spec 658cc, turbocharged petrol engine that returns 33.4 kmpl of mileage in hybrid trim.

2017 WagonR Petrol – 51 Bhp | 60 Nm

2017 WagonR Stingray – 65 Bhp | 98 Nm

*All variants come with a CVT unit as standard and with the option of 2WD or 4WD option.
