The all-new 2018 Maruti Ciaz is one of the most anticipated model from the brand’s sedan segment which is expected to be launched in August this year. Judging from the recently spied shots of the undisguised version of the car at Maruti Suzuki’s stockyard in Haryana, it doesn’t disappoint at all.
According to the new images, the all-new 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz gets a new front grille and HD projector headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights. The newly designed alloy wheels are specifically adding to its appeal while the fog lamp enclosure and front bumper are also refurbished.
The design for the tail lights remain the same, though Maruti might have tweaked the LED pattern inside the lights. Coming to the interiors, the seat and upholstery materials will be revised entirely and the all-black interiors would be adding appeal to its classy design.
The touchscreen infotainment system will be equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and the high-spec variants are expected to get a sunroof making it land in the premium sedan segment competing with the likes of 2018 models of Hyundai Verna, Honda City, and the recently launched Toyota Yaris.
In terms of the engine specifications, the all-new 2018 Maruti Ciaz will be powered by a 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine with SHVS technology that is capable of producing a maximum power of 103 HP and an utmost torque of 138 Nm replacing the 1.4-litre K14 unit that had 92 HP + 130 NM on-board.
The sedan is expected to be launched at a price range of Rs. 8 lakh – Rs. 13 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and judging from the high fan-base, it is sure going to give other sedans in its segment, a run for their money.
