Headlights are now offered with LED daytime running lights and projector units for better illumination. S-Cross now comes with an aggressive front fascia, further complimented with a redesigned bonnet and thick design lines. Side profile may not feel as new as one would think but still, getting 215/60-16 tyres will help it achieve a bigger footprint.
Maruti S-Cross now comes with machine cut alloy wheels (black and chrome), all new LED tail lights, soft feel dashboard, piano black center console and black leather central armrest. Apart from these, buyers will enjoy more convenience through the addition of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay into the infotainment system.
The car is fully compliant with upcoming safety norms while Maruti will offer dual airbags, ABS and ISOFIX child seats as standard. As GST regime left hybrid cars out of the lower tax bracket, the new S-Cross costs more than the previous 1.3L model.
Maruti has skipped the 1.6L diesel engine and thus, buyers can go for Ciaz sourced 1.3L, 90 HP engine with smart hybrid technology. Maruti now offers the new S-Cross in four variants (Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Alpha) and five shades (White, Brown, Silver, Grey, Blue), all of which may not be available on every variant. Pricing starts from from INR 8.49 lakh while rivals include Hyundai Creta, Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano in its segment.
