2021 Maruti Suzuki Ignis Variant-Wise Price List: Last year, Maruti Suzuki launched the BS6 model of Ignis in the Indian markets. The hatchback is available in seven variants while the ex-showroom price range starts from INR 4.89 lakhs for its base variant and goes up to INR 7.31 lakhs for the top variant.
Mechanically, the 2021 Maruti Ignis is powered by a 1.2-litre, BS6-compliant, four-cylinder, K-12 petrol engine that produces 83HP of maximum power along with the 113Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission along with an option of a 5-speed AMT gearbox. The noteworthy thing is that the fuel-efficiency of the car remains exactly the same as it was in the BS4 model that is 20.89 kmpl.
In terms of design, the hatchback remains the same when viewed from the side. At the front, it features a new grille that reminds us of the one present on the Jimny and the S-Presso. The front bumper of the car is also new with a faux scuff-plate whereas it also gets a reworked rear bumper.
Coming towards the inside, the dashboard of the hatchback remains unchanged except for the 7.0-inch touchscreen that has been upgraded with Maruti’s latest SmartPlay Studio infotainment system, which comes with voice command recognition and onboard navigation.
The brand has offered the BS6 Maruti Suzuki Ignis with two new colour options: Lucent Orange and Turquoise Blue. Maruti Suzuki is also offering three new dual-tone colour options: Nexa Blue with Black, Lucent Orange with Black, and Nexa Blue with Silver. The dual-tone options are only available on the Zeta and Alpha trims. The hatchback also gets two customization options – Acropolis and Scorcher. The updated model of the Ignis rivals the Mahindra KUV100 and Ford Freestyle in the Indian market.
