2022 Maruti Dzire CNG First Look Walkaround At the Dealership

Thanks to the exorbitant fuel prices, more people are opting for fuel alternatives such as CNG or electric mobility. Some people are converting their existing models to CNG by installing kits. Meanwhile, companies are also making efforts to offer customers factory-fitted CNG vehicles to save time and money on this switching process. In the same way, Maruti Suzuki has presented its sedan Dzire with a CNG variant, which has expanded its current Alto, S-Presso, Eeco, Ertiga, Celerio, and WagonR CNG portfolio.

Maruti has offered the Dzire S-CNG with two variants: VXi and ZXi. Powering the 2022 Dzire CNG is a K12M, 1.2-litre, VVT petrol engine, capable of producing 90 HP and 113 Nm of peak torque when operating on petrol. On the other hand, when powered by CNG, this engine produces 77 HP and 98.5 Nm of maximum torque when coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission. Speaking of the convenience of the factory-fitted CNG vehicle, it protects the vehicle’s warranty. Aftermarket CNG kits breach the warranty and are not always dependable in terms of safety. As a result, it is always preferable to use factory-fitted CNG kits over after-market fitments. Maruti has also added a dedicated fuel gauge, inter-dependent ECU units, safety switches, and stainless steel pipes and joints to the new Dzire CNG, all of which contribute to guaranteeing that the car is exceptionally safe to operate.

As for pricing, the new Maruti Dzire S-CNG starts at an ex-showroom price of Rs 8.14 lakh for the VXi variant and goes up to Rs 8.82 lakh for the ZXi variant (ex-showroom, Delhi).
