The much-awaited 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno premium hatchback is ready to make its official debut in the country today at 12 pm IST. It has been a strong rival in its segment since its launch in 2015. The hatchback will be sold through Nexa Dealerships and is going to compete with the likes of Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz, and VW Polo in the fiercely challenging segment.
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno introduces a number of updates to the five-seater in response to the intensifying competition, and it is the first of a bevvy of upgraded models planned by the country’s largest automobile manufacturer. The new Baleno will be available in the same four varieties as before: Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. Here we have the detailed walkaround video of the Alpha variant Splendid Silver paint finish by Youtube channel MRD Cars.
Key updates in the forthcoming car include a redesigned front grille, distinguished taillamps, a flat bonnet, redesigned alloy wheels, a reworked dashboard, ARKAMYS-powered Surround Sound features and instrument cluster, as well as a floating nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in the centre, to name a few.
Maruti Suzuki is going to offer the new-gen Baleno in six attractive colours like Opulent Red, Grandeur Grey, Luxe Beige, Pearl Arctic White, Nexa Blue, and Splendid Silver. The new Baleno was first spotted unmasked two months ago, and since then, anticipation has been skyrocketing.
Furthermore, the hatch will only be offered with one engine option, but buyers will have a choice between two transmissions. The engine has been tuned to generate around 89 PS. As for transmissions, a standard 5-speed MT and a 5-speed AMT will be available. The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno is expected to be launched at a price of 6.50 lakh (ex-showroom), with the highest model expected to remain under 10 lakh.
Update: Maruti Suzuki has launched the 2022 model of Baleno in India. The hatchback is available at a starting price of Rs 6.35 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 9.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec variant.
