Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch its new Baleno on February 23rd and has teased us multiple times by disclosing crucial specifics about the car. Now, leaked photographs from Maruti’s NEXA website, have revealed information concerning the 2022 Baleno’s exterior and interior. For a short time, the 3D configurator for the 2022 Maruti Baleno was available, displaying the official interiors and exteriors of the 2022 Baleno.
The brand previously released teaser photographs of the 2022 Baleno, which hinted at a reworked broader grille. The leaked photos suggest that the Baleno will get a new front face with a bigger grille and a new set of headlights with three-element DRLs. The foglamp shell has also increased in size when compared to earlier generations. In the side profile, in addition to the new 10-spoke alloy wheels, it now has chrome plating on the window lines.
Turning to the rear profile, the manufacturer has outfitted the new Baleno with LED wraparound taillights, and the rear bumper has also been redesigned. As per the leaked info, the 2022 Baleno would be available in six different colour schemes, such as Pearl Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Grandeur Grey, Celestial Blue, Opulent Red, and Luxe Beige.
On the inside, a new 9-inch digital touchscreen entertainment system now dominates the dual-tone dashboard. There is also a chrome coating that goes across the breadth of the dashboard. Other noticeable modifications include a new digital instrument cluster, steering wheel, and climate control knobs. The upholstery has also been updated, giving the inside of the new Baleno a more modern appearance.
Moreover, the 2022 Baleno’s leaked pictures proved one more thing: the premium hatchback would not have a sunroof. Besides, the car will be available with only one engine option, but buyers will have a choice of two gearboxes. The engine has been adjusted to produce around 89 PS. A regular 5-speed MT and a 5-speed AMT will be available as transmissions.
