The much-awaited Maruti Alto K10 has been recently launched in the Indian market with a starting price tag of Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Alto K10 is being offered in four basic variations, further subdivided by gearbox options. The new Alto is in its fourth generation and was initially introduced back in the year 2000. In the new generation model, the car receives new features, a new design profile, as well as some cabin updates.
The 2023 Alto K10 is built on the Heartect platform, which employs steel to not only make the car safer but also to minimise noise and vibration. This is the same platform that supports the Wagon R, the Ertiga, and other Maruti Suzuki cars. The new Alto K10, like the new platform, has risen in size. The vehicle is longer and higher than its predecessor, providing additional legroom and headroom. The new Alto is 3,530mm long, 1,490mm wide, and 1,520mm tall.
The new 2023 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 has a revamped front with a honeycomb grille and teardrop-shaped headlights with halogen lighting. The tail lights are fashioned similarly to the ones found on the new Celerio. Maruti offers two distinct visual upgrade kits for the Alto K10, Glinto, and Impacto. The Glinto includes glint and glam using chrome elements, a front grille garnish, headlamp garnish, and taillamp garnishing.
On the other hand, the Impacto has a youthful appearance with front and rear skid plates, colour highlights, wheel arch cladding, body side moulding, and other characteristics. In addition to the three previously available colours, there are three new ones: Sizzling Red, Speedy Blue, and Earth Gold. In terms of features, it comes fitted with a digital instrument cluster with MID, a 7-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 4 speakers, power windows, a reverse parking sensor and more.
The 1.0-litre Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine in the 2023 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 produces 66.6bhp and 89Nm of torque. According to Maruti, the engine has a fuel economy of 24.90km per litre with the automatic transmission and 24.39km per litre with the 5-speed manual transmission.
