Maruti Suzuki Brezza, India’s most awaited next-gen model, finally made its way to the market recently. The brand has introduced the SUV with a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 7.99 lakh, while the price for the top-tier ZXI+ dual-tone automatic variant goes all the way up to Rs 13.96 lakh. The second-gen model of the Vitara Brezza will now be known as the Maruti Brezza only as it has left the prefix “Vitara.”
The manufacturer has not only made cosmetic updates to the 2023 model but also updated its body dimensions. To begin with, the front facade of the Brezza now boasts a graphite black X-shaped strip with the Suzuki logo in the midst. The combination of grey, black, and red elements on the front gives it an elegant appearance. The maker has offered the SUV in a total of 11 variants.
Some of the key features are follow-me-home and lead-me-to-vehicle, which are available in ZXI and ZXI+ variants. Also, these variants get dual-LED projector headlamps with floating DRLs. Besides this, LED foglamps are offered in ZXI+ trim only. Instead of LEDs, the LXI and VXI models use bi-halogen projector headlights. The ZXI+ variant of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza rides on precision-cut dual-tone 16-inch alloy wheels, while the ZXI variant receives same-size all-black alloy wheels.
Some of the other key features of the 2023 Maruti Brezza include connected car tech, a heads-up display, cruise control, automatic climate control, ambient lighting, USB Type-C rear charging ports and Alexa compatibility.
On the inside as well, the design experts at Maruti Suzuki did a great job and outfitted the cabin with a host of sophisticated features. The SUV now features a multi-layered dash pattern, a redesigned steering wheel, a free-standing display, a wireless charging pad, a 40mm broader instrument panel, and a 137mm wider rear seat as compared to the existing model. There are some new features that are offered for the first time, such as an electric sunroof with a tilt-up function in the ZXI and ZXI+ variants.
Powering the all-new Maruti Brezza is the same 1.5-litre, K15C dual-battery Progressive Smart Hybrid engine seen on the Ertiga which produces 101.6 HP of maximum power at 6,000 rpm and 136.8 Nm of maximum torque at 4,400 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard while the brand is also offering a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission with paddle shifters on the VXi, ZXi, and the top-spec ZXI+ variants.
