4830 Units of Maruti Suzuki Ignis Sold in January 2017

Maruti Suzuki delivered 4830 units of Ignis in its first 18 days of sale in India. The car was launched in on 13th January and currently has more than 10,000 bookings on its side. Maruti Ignis is the most affordable product in the Nexa dealership lineup. This enables the same to get loads of features in its base trim and helps in decision making on the buyer’s side.

Ignis measures 3700 mm in length and carries a wheelbase of 2435 mm. The funky design helps it stand out of the competition, which mainly comes from Tata Tiago, Maruti’s very own Swift and Hyundai Grand i10. The tallboy stance helps it maintain a healthy 180 mm of ground clearance and enough headroom for passengers with more than average height.

Maruti Suzuki provides the basic safety features like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and child seat anchorages as standard on the new Ignis. The trim levels for the car includes Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha while the Sigma is allocated for the petrol variant only. Both the petrol and diesel model comes with an option between 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox.

Ignis is powered by the tried and tested, 1.2 liter petrol and 1.3 liter diesel motor. The former is good for 82 BHP at 6000 rpm and 113 Nm at 4200 rpm while the latter produces 74 BHP at 4000 rpm and 190 Nm at 2000 rpm. Both the cars are equipped with 32 liter fuel tank, delivering certified mileage of 20.89 kmpl and 26.8 kmpl for the petrol and diesel model respectively.
