Maruti XL6 is all set to make a debut in India on August 21, 2019. The Ertiga-based MPV has been in the news for quite long. The latest images of the MPV gives a clear view of the XL6’s interior and exterior. The spy images have been shot at a dealership ahead of its official launch. The brand has offered the XL6 with a new front profile while the MPV features a 6-seat cabin that has been specifically achieved by captain seats in the second row. Maruti will be offering the XL6 via its NEXA showrooms in India.
The bookings for the MPV have been already commenced by the brand at a token amount of INR 11,000. The recently leaked images suggest that the MPV has been equipped with a host of cosmetic and mechanical changes when compared to the Ertiga. The Maruti XL6 gets a raised height while the brand has offered the MPV with body cladding over the front fenders and the side panels.
The Maruti XL6 gets chunkier LED headlights at the front while the brand has also offered a restyled front grille mated to unique LED DRLs. The front bumper of the MPV has been redesigned with a skid plate while the chrome inserts at the centre add to its exclusivity.
Coming to the interiors, the brand has offered a dual black and beige look to the MPV while the dashboard has been offered an all-black treatment. The XL6 further features premium leather upholstery while gets captain seats in the middle row that sets it apart from the Ertiga MPV.
The XL6 features a 7-inch SmartPlay infotainment system right at the middle that is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The brand has offered premium features to the MPV that includes automatic climate control, power windows, cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity, reclining rear seats, remote central locking, and a detailed MID (Multi-Information Display).
Powering the Maruti XL6 will be a 1.5-litre four-cylinder smart hybrid petrol engine capable of churning out a maximum power of 105HP and a peak torque of 138Nm. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission while a 4-speed automatic gearbox can also be availed with the MPV.
