Maruti Suzuki Baleno is a record breaking product and that claim goes further up with the recent sales report. Baleno is now India’s 2ndw highest selling car with 16,426 units sold in the last month. This takes its growth up by 163.40 percent and tags the Baleno as the most selling premium category hatchback of the country. It sold merely 6236 units in the same month last year. Maruti Baleno is Now the 2nd Best-Selling Car in India
The company now focuses on meeting the demand in a better manner and their supply chain management helped the growth of the premium hatchback enter triple digit numbers. After the Gujarat plant went operational, the demands were met with the best possible urgency. The high bookings helped Maruti raise its sales to this next level. If things goes as planned, the waiting period for the Baleno will go down significantly in the coming days. Baleno can now even be bought in the new RS variant.
Baleno is powered by three different engine options. The most basic is 1.2 liter, 4-cylinder petrol motor producing 83 BHP and 115 Nm of torque. This engine comes with 5-speed MT as well as CVT gearbox option. The highly fuel efficient, 1.3 liter turbocharged diesel engine on the Baleno is good for 74 BHP and 190 Nm of torque. It simply uses a 5-speed manual gearbox. The same gearbox is offered on a newly launched Baleno RS, which is powered by a 1.0 liter Boosterjet petrol engine that is good for 101 BHP and 150 Nm of torque.
