The 2021 model of Maruti Suzuki Dzire compact sedan is available with a starting price tag of INR 5.99 lakhs for its base LXi variant while the price range goes all the way up to INR 9.08 lakhs for its top-spec ZXI+ AGS model. The prices mentioned here are ex-showroom, Delhi.
In comparison to the last-gen model of Dzire, the current-gen version features a new grille design upfront in addition to getting a new front bumper and a new fog light housing. In terms of interior, the design of the dashboard remains more or less unchanged but it gets Maruti Suzuki’s new SmartPlay Studio infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. The updated model of the sedan also gets featured with new dual-tone upholstery and faux wood trim.
The brand has included auto-folding ORVMs, a colour TFT screen for the Multi-Information Display, and cruise control as some of the key feature additions. The automatic variants of the 2021 Maruti Suzuki Dzire get additional safety equipment in the form of Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Hill Start Assist (HSA) as standard.
Mechanically, the 2021 Maruti Suzuki Dzire is powered by a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder K12C DualJet Petrol engine. It is capable of producing 90HP of maximum power and 113Nm of maximum torque. The engine is equipped with idle start-stop tech which helps in maximizing the mileage. It has been mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard while the buyers also get an option for an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT), which Maruti Suzuki promotes as AGS (Auto Gear Shift).
The fuel efficiency of the car stands at 23.26 kmpl for the manual variants while it is 24.12 kmpl for the AMT variants. The compact sedan competes in the market with the likes of Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura, Ford Aspire, and the Tata Tigor.
