Maruti Ignis Launch Shifted to Early 2017

In order to clear the delayed deliveries of the Baleno and Vitara Brezza, the new Maruti Ignis launch period has been shifted from festive season of 2016 to early 2017. Maruti wishes to clear the backlog as they hope that the launch of Ignis can even make the numbers rise in the coming time.

Both the cars are stuck back by nearly 1 lakh orders and introducing Ignis at this time can further led to a difficult situation. The car is expected to carry the same engine lineup from Baleno while it directly rivals the Mahindra KUV100 by offering the same high stance and crossover feel.

Maruti is expected to launch the boosterjet petrol engine powered Baleno RS in the coming months while no news for the petrol version of Vitara Brezza has been given by Maruti Suzuki.
