Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the new S-Presso on September 30, 2019, and this will be the second product to be rolled out by the brand which has been completely designed in India. The first product was the Vitara Brezza compact SUV. According to recent updates, the first batch of the S-Presso has started arriving at the dealerships. The company has also released a teaser video featuring Varun Dhawan on its official Youtube channel. A few images of the interiors have also been revealed ahead of the launch.
In the official TVC, the brand has released the first official look of the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso in bright orange colour. The SUV-inspired small car will hit the market in competition with Renault Kwid and Datsun Redi-GO and is expected to be available in a price range of 3.50 to 4.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
The entry-level car is based on the brand’s Future S Concept that was showcased at the Auto Expo 2018. The hatchback will be offered to the customers in four variants namely Standard, LXi, VXi, and VXi+. The revealed images suggest that it comprises of all-black interiors teamed with colour-coded orange bits on the top-spec trim. The touchscreen infotainment system is loaded with SmartPlay Studio which has been placed below the digital speedometer and tachometer.
Maruti S-Presso has a boxy delineation and towards the exterior, it has a Jimny-inspired front grille teamed with large headlamps. The upcoming car is packed with features of a hatchback such as plastic cladding at the lower half along with dual-tone bumpers.
The hatchback is equipped with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder BS6-compliant petrol engine and is capable of generating a maximum power figure of 68HP and a peak torque of 90Nm. The engine works in a team with a 5-speed manual gearbox whereas the customers will also be offered with the option of a 5-speed AMT gearbox.
