At a good event celebrated at Gandhinagar in the area of Gujrat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi went ahead and sowed the seeds of the formulations of two new Maruti Suzuki plants. This mega carmaker company has also announced the opening of a fresh and newly built research and development firm.
In the event of celebrating the inauguration of Maruti Suzuki’s operations here in India, the honourable Prime Minister has even put on the foundation stone for two newly launched facilities in the nation. The first one is named an electric vehicle manufacturing facility. It is based in the region of Hansalpur, Gujarat and the second one is a vehicle manufacturing facility. It is based in the region of Kharkhoda, Haryana.
These twin facilities’ are going to be aiming to attract a good investment of Rs. 30,000 crores. Out of this mega investment, Rs. 20,000 crores are aimed to be used in the Haryana region located plant only.
Moreover, while speaking on the occasion of Maruti Suzuki’s role in India’s automobile industry development, PM Modi mentioned that Suzuki has great potential with its two new facility centres coming up vividly. He further quoted that Maruti emphasizes strongly on the India-Japan bonding too.
Further, the prime minister of India, Mr Modi, also honoured Osamu Suzuki (Chairman of Suzuki) with a felicitation award for being highly productive. Here, it is important to note that Mr Suzuki is a 92-year-old personality, who invested in India at a time when no major carmaking brand was investing in the nation. So this amazing person deserved honours for being among the 10 most influential personalities who have marked a great success in the automotive sector.
To conclude and as an addition to this big launch-pad event, there is also a confirmation buzz that an MoU is signed by Suzuki. In this deal, the Suzuki brand is committed to going for an investment of around 150 billion yen for its Indo-Japan work aims. This comes out to be around 104.5 billion investment, which is organized for manufacturing projects. In these projects, electric vehicles and BEV batteries will be manufactured; and in the end, overall, it would be quite judicious to acknowledge the success of this wonderful launching event held by Suzuki.
