Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch a new model in their India lineup. The all-new Maruti Suzuki car will be a three-row six-seater model and will be sold via the Nexa dealerships in India. According to the reports, the six-seater Maruti is inspired by the Ertiga MPV while the upcoming car is expected to make its official debut in the month of August 2019.
The recently spied test mule of the next-gen Maruti Suzuki did confirm some of the details of the design language as well as few bits and pieces of its interior. Getting a raised height when compared to the Ertiga, the six-seater Maruti Suzuki car is expected to get a more rugged look that features additional body cladding across either side.
Sharing almost similar underpinning with Ertiga, the next-gen Maruti will get a tweaked front panel with a taller chrome grille at the centre. The six-seater will be equipped with Ciaz-inspired headlamps in addition to the daytime running lights.
Coming to the engine specifications, the new Maruti Suzuki car is expected to get the brand’s latest 1.5-litre petrol engine that is doing duty on the all-new Ertiga and Ciaz. According to the speculations, the brand is expected to offer only petrol variant for their upcoming MPV that will be further equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Though, considering the demands, they might add on a 4-speed automatic transmission later in time.
In terms of interiors, the new Maruti Suzuki car is expected to get an all-black detailing while sharing its basic upholstery with the next-gen Ertiga. The MPV is expected to feature two captain chairs in the second row while the third row will be getting the usual passenger bench seats.
The brand is expected to equip their all-new MPV with SmartPlay Studio infotainment system that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. According to the reports, the all-new 6-seater car will be termed as a lifestyle alternative to the next-gen Ertiga though further details will be revealed at the time of the official launch next month.
