Maruti Suzuki has just launched the new-gen Baleno with enhanced design, features, and a refined engine at a starting price of Rs 6.35 lakh (ex-showroom). The brand has officially revealed that the vehicle has received over 25,000 reservations. Those who wish to book the premium hatchback can do so with a down payment of Rs 11,000. Maruti has also announced a subscription option for the new Baleno, which costs Rs 13,999 each month. It covers car registration, maintenance, insurance, and roadside assistance.
Deliveries of the 2022 Baleno have also started from day one, and the first batch of owners brought the cars home. A Youtube channel, sansCARi sumit, posted a video of the Baleno owner taking delivery at the Nexa dealership. The car has been offered by the manufacturer in four trims named Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha, and the trim in the video is Delta. It’s worth noting here that the Delta MT variant is available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 7.19 lakh, while the Delta AGS is available at Rs 7.69 lakh.
Speaking of the design and features, the new Baleno premium hatchback’s façade has a larger honeycomb grille with a “NEXAWave” design, silver embellishments, wraparound headlights, a clamshell bonnet, a redefined bumper, LED headlamps, and LED DRLs. Along with the exterior updates, the Baleno has a cabin revamp as well. Its dashboard features a three-layer design with a black finished top, silver accents in the centre, and a dark blue finished bottom. Additional improvements include a new steering wheel similar to the Swift, updated seating, and a new instrument cluster.
