Maruti Suzuki launched the BS6 model of Vitara Brezza in the Indian markets back in February 2020 with a starting price tag of INR 7.34 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The big change in this compact SUV is the introduction of the BS6-compliant 1.5L K15B petrol engine. As we reported earlier, the diesel engine of the car has been discontinued. After getting a recent price hike, the price range for the compact SUV now starts at INR 7.62 lakhs.
Mechanically, the 1462cc 4-cylinder petrol engine churns out 103HP of maximum power at 6000 rpm along with 138Nm of peak torque at 4400 rpm. It comes paired with a 5-speed manual transmission along with an optional 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
The ARAI certified mileage of the vehicle stands at 17.03kpl for the manual version while the automatic model is good for 18.76kpl. Coming to the design traits, when compared to the BS4 model, the exterior of the car gets a revised front grille, new headlights featuring integrated turn indicators. The rear of the car gets a new bumper and LED taillights.
Going by the interiors, the BS6 model of Brezza gets minimal changes. It comes with new upholstery and a smart play studio touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The brand introduced the BS6-compliant model with 3 new dual-tone colour options: Sizzling Red with Midnight Black roof, Granite Grey with Autumn Orange Roof, and Torque Blue with Midnight Black roof.
