Updated Maruti Ignis Launched in India @ INR 4.79 lakh

Updated Maruti Ignis has been launched in India for INR 4.79 lakh. The car is available with roof rails for the Zeta and Alpha variants while all the variants are now available with safety additions like the reverse parking sensors, co-driver seat belt reminder, and high-speed alert system and dual airbags. Some other safety features include ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts and seat belt pre-tensioners. Maruti has kept the four variants alive for the entry-level Nexa model, offering AMT gearbox on the Delta, Zeta, and Alpha for ease of driving in the tough, traffic-stuffed city conditions. The top-spec model with AMT gearbox is available for INR 7.14 lakh, bringing a huge gap between the pricing of Maruti Suzuki WagonR and Ignis. The 1.2L, four-cylinder petrol motor on the car is good for 83 HP at 6000 rpm and 113 Nm at 4200 rpm. The standard gearbox stays 5-speed manual on all four variants. The 2435mm of compact wheelbase and 3700mm of overall length makes sure that quick city turns never become a reason of stress for the driver. Ignis can be bought in six single and three dual tone shades, rivalling none other than Mahindra KUV100 in its segment.
