2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class was recently updated thoroughly and officially revealed by the company internationally. The new car has got considerable changes right from the most basic trim. The car receives new names for the variants, describing the change in its engine lineup and power values. The new S450 comes with a 3.0 liter V6 engine that is good for 362 HP. The other one is S560, replacing the old S550 and producing a max of 463 HP. This one has got the real power in the regular S-Class variants while others like S63 and S65 AMG are always present to satisfy the performance hungry needs of S-Class lovers.
2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Officially Unveiled
Mercedes AMG S63 replaced its bigger 5.5 liter V8 with a 4.0 liter bi-turbo engine that produces 603 HP, making it the most powerful tune for this engine on the S-Class variants. All of the engines are now mated to 9-speed automatic gearbox. Younger Maybach models even receive the new engine while V12 twin turbo on the top spec S65 as well as Maybach S650 remains the same as the 2017 version. Mercedes Benz updated the set of sensors and radars on the S-Class, making it once again the most technically sound sedan in its lineup. It now comes with 360 degree camera, adaptive cruise control and many more features on the list.
Mercedes S-Class now comes with two 12.3 inch screens under a single glass pane on its dashboard. The car now gets updated LED headlights, all new front and rear bumper design, 20 inch multiple alloy wheel options and revised 4Matic all wheel drive system. The car now gets the ability to lean more than 2.5 degrees into a turn, providing the motorcycle effect and helping the driver cut corners with much ease. The new models get updated braking, new exhaust system and adaptive sport seats in selective variants. They have even moved the Maybach logo to the front of the car on both the extra luxury wrapped variants.
