Mercedes AMG recently launched two exciting big cars with a performance specific engine under their hood. Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 has been launched for INR 1.58 Crore while AMG G63 Edition 463 is available for INR 2.17 Crore. Prices mentioned here are ex-showroom Delhi.
The total number of SUVs on offer in Mercedes lineup is now eight, making them the only luxury brand to offer such wide range. Performance was never questioned on the AMG series and these two are here to prove that thing right once again. Mercedes GLS was well known for the huge interior space and now, performance is simultaneously on offer in the new car.
The 5.5 liter, V8 Bi-turbo engine on the GLS63 is good for 576 HP and 760 Nm of torque. The level of equipment is even raised with active curve system, AMG ride control and sports suspension, making the car much better than the standard version. AMG performance 4MATIC system splits the torque into 40:60 for front and rear respectively.
Other impressive features on the GLS 63 include adaptive high beam assist plus, AMG body package, AMG performance steering wheel, electrically foldable rear two rows and Harman Kardon Logic 7 surround sound system.
AMG G63 is one unique piece of automobile architecture, still hand built in Austria and shipped worldwide. The 5.5 liter, V8 engine on the car is good for 563 HP and 760 Nm of torque. This makes the above 3 ton G Wagen good for 0-100 kmph in 5.4 seconds and claims a top speed of 210 kmph.
The ‘Edition 463’ comes with huge 21 inch wheels and use sophisticated equipment with Electronic Traction System, three differential locks and upto 3500 kg of massive towing. The interior is all leather and finished in Black carbon shade and diamond quilted door panels as well as seats.
