After the success of MG Hector, the debutant SUV from the brand in the Indian market, the Britsih marquee is all set to introduce the 6-seater MG Hector in the country. The most anticipated SUV has been recently spied testing on the Indian roads.
Courtesy of one of the Maxabout enthusiasts, we have access to the recently spied images of the upcoming SUV. Though the six-seat setup is not visible from its outer profile, one can easily identify the exclusive look offered to the exterior of the SUV to stand it apart from the standard Hector.
Coming to the front fascia, the 6-seater MG Hector features a redesigned honeycomb grille which is now larger than the one seen on the 5-seater standard variant. In addition to this, the SUV now features a split LED DRLs setup while the redesigned headlight setup houses the turn indicators as well.
The updated 6-seater variant of the MG Hector will take inspiration from the recently updated Baojun 530 in China. Coming to the rear profile, the SUV now features a redesigned tail section with clear lens inserts in addition to faux exhaust inserts in the rear bumper.
If the brand follows the same pattern as that offered to the Baojun 530, the 6-seater MG Hector will also feature redesigned bumpers in addition to getting a different cabin as well as distinguished alloy wheels. The six-seat setup will be further achieved in the SUV by two captain seats in the second row.
The upholstery colour may also be varied for the upcoming Hector variant. The convenience and safety features in the new MG Hector variant will remain identical to the one offered on the 5-seater variant which includes a panoramic sunroof, 10.4-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen infotainment system, internet connectivity and more.
The 6-seater MG Hector will get the same engine options offered on the standard variant. The brand is expected to launch the SUV in the first half of next year. Once launched in India, the 6-seater MG Hector will compete in the market with the likes of upcoming 7-seater Harrier as well as the updated Hyundai Creta and Mahindra XUV500.
