MG Hector Spotted on OLX with a Temporary Number

The launch of MG Hector took the Indian car market by storm with the brand getting an overwhelming response and endless bookings. The brand was able to grab a total of 21,000 bookings for the SUV within just 22 days of its initial launch.

MG has a production capacity of only 1500 units in a month which further started adding on to the waiting period. Thus, in order to avoid the increase in the waiting period, the brand has decided to stop accepting the bookings as the SUV is sold out in India for the year 2019.

The deliveries of the MG Hector have commenced in full swing with more than 30 SUVs delivered in a single day to their respective owners across certain dealerships. Taking advantage of the closed bookings and a longer waiting period, some of the MG Hector owners have listed their new cars on OLX with an increased price tag to earn maximum profits.

One such model listed on the used car website, OLX, is a white top-end diesel variant of the MG Hector. According to the advertisement, the SUV has been driven only 100 km while still retains the temporary number plate. The top-end diesel variant of the MG Hector is available at a price tag of around INR 20 lakh (on-road) while the owner has listed the SUV on OLX at INR 23 lakh trying to gain a profit of INR 3 lakhs.

As per the latest details available, MG Motor has announced that they will soon be increasing their production capacity to 3000 units a month. This will help the brand in reducing the waiting period which currently stands close to 7 months in some of the cities across the country.
