2017 Mitsubishi Lancer Sedan Leaked Ahead of Official Unveil

Mitsubishi Lancer is one of the most tempting nameplate in the sedan category of many global markets. The entry level model was actually based on the performance oriented Evolution X variant and its discontinuation was not a good news for the fans worldwide. After the end of one successful era, Mitsubishi will bring a new iteration with the name ‘Grand Lancer’ to the international market. The spy shots say it all about the newcomer.

2017 Mitsubishi Lancer Sedan Leaked Ahead of Official Unveil

Mitsubishi Grand Lancer comes with an updated exterior while the interior is all new on the classy sedan. The front end of the car now comes with proportionate chrome lines that pass through the bumper and join the fog lamp section in an evolutionary style. The dashboard is redesigned and comes with an eight inch touchscreen for infotainment purposes. The instrument console here is 10.2 inch and fully digital.

The car comes with three spoke steering wheel, reverse parking camera, seven airbags, traction control, dynamic stability control and many more safety and comfort enhancing features. The car is expected to get 1.8 liter, MIVEC petrol engine that could produce around 139 HP and 172 Nm of torque. It will come mated to CVT and sold under front wheel drive platform only. The car will be officially revealed on April 6, 2017. As of now, Mitsubishi has no plans to relaunch the Lancer brand in India.
