The 2020 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport has been spotted in Thailand. The India-bound SUV will be making its world premiere very soon. The Sport version of Pajero was introduced in 2015 and now its facelifted version is going to mark its debut. The current-gen Pajero Sport has got a rounded look to it at the front but its facelifted version has got a sharper and more dynamic look.
The new look of the car is almost the same as that of the Mitsubishi Triton. The two-tier front light setup and the more angular elements give the mid-size SUV a more aggressive look. The car incorporates the ‘Dynamic Shield’ front design concept. The massive look of the car comes due to the all-new thick chrome grille and the huge air dam. On the sides, the car gets shiny double-spoke alloy wheels. These updates in the SUV show that it has received major exterior upgrades.
If we talk about the rear portion of the car, the 2020 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport gets new taillights, bumper and skid plates. When it comes to the Interior, the upcoming SUV gets an updated digital instrument cluster and there is also a new climate control panel. The overall design of the cabin of the car remains almost the same. It will feature the same old all-black interior colour theme with silver finishes on the steering wheel, centre console, door grip handles, and the gear lever. There is no information on the mechanical updates for now.
Right now, the previous-gen Mitsubishi Pajero Sport retails at INR 28.35 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The SUV is equipped with a 2.4-litre four-cylinder turbodiesel engine that is good enough to produce 181HP of maximum power with a peak torque of 430 Nm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. We can expect the facelifted model of the Pajero Sport to be priced at around INR 30 lakh in the Indian market.
