Nissan Kicks has been launched in India for a starting price tag of INR 9.55 lakh. The base diesel version starts at INR 10.85 lakh. Both the prices are ex-showroom Delhi. The car is highly promising in terms of interior finish and shade selection. The segment-first inclusion of a 360-degree camera on the Nissan Kicks raised expectations of the buyers for sure. The infotainment system called Nissanconnect comes with smartwatch connectivity and 50+ features to track the live movement of the car and even book a service. The car comes with smart keyless entry, cruise control, hill start assist and fog lamps with cornering function.
The dashboard offers leather stitched surface that matches the shade of leather seats on the new Nissan Kicks. The vents are well placed around the infotainment display while console seen here is a unique piece of art with a tachometer on one side and fuel gauge on the another. The speedometer is digital but in comparison to the modern day consoles, this one feels outdated for sure. The vents on the outer edges are circular. Nissan Kicks is available with a steering wheel that feels perfect for its size and uses leather wrapped finish for enhancing the premium feel of this car.
Nissan is using the familiar 1.5L, 4-cylinder petrol engine for the Kicks, producing 106 HP of maximum power. The petrol engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission. The diesel power comes from a 1.5L diesel engine, getting 110 HP of total output with a 6-speed gearbox. The rivals in this segment include Hyundai Creta, Renault Captur and Maruti S-Cross, with Creta being the only one to score a five-digit sales number on average. India-spec Nissan Kicks is different from the European model as they are sharing the frame with Captur for the country.
