Nissan Terra, the all-new Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour rival, was recently seen in a couple of spy shots from China. The car looks impressive but could get restricted to the Chinese market in its initial days.
Completely clean images of Terra shows how brilliantly Nissan understood the requirement of people who wished for a perfect blend between Endeavour’s presence and Fortuner’s body lines. The car has highest ever potential than any other Nissan premium car seen in the Indian market, clearly seen through the attitude filled chrome Nissan grill and beautifully finished bonnet lines.
Terra comes with minimum bumper highlights and looks awesome with its perfectly designed and hardly overdone set of headlights. The name is adopted from XTerra, the US specific model that was discontinued in 2015. Like all other brands within this segment, Nissan has shared the underpinnings of Terra with Navara.
Facts also reveal that Terra may look completely different from Navara but both of them share the ladder frame chassis with the pick-up. The car seen here is most probably a base variant as front fascia misses on the fog lights and bumper highlights.
As Nissan Terra will be brought as a seven seat SUV, engine powering the same is also expected to be a powerful one. Chinese market will use the 2.5L, 4-cylinder petrol motor producing 184 HP. The engine will be available with both rear wheel drive and all-wheel drive option.
Another 2.3L, 4-cylinder diesel engine is expected to be on offer, producing 158 HP in the lower and 187 HP in the higher state of tune. Both will offer automatic gearbox options as standard. Terra will be officially seen for the first time at 2018 Beijing Motor Show. As always, the show will start in Beijing, China in April 2018.
