At INR 121 Crore, Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta is the World's Most Expensive Car

Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta was recently sold for 15 million euros (INR 121 Crore approx), creating a world record for cars that are made in limited numbers. The brand will make three units for HP Barchetta, one of which will stay with Horacio Pagani and only one is left to be sold internationally. Rolls Royce Sweptail, priced at INR 89 Crore, was the most expensive car produced and sold worldwide before the arrival of Zonda HP Barchetta in the market. The only car to carry Horacio’s initials in its name, Barchetta is more like a collectible due to its permanent roofless stance and unique windshield design. It seems like the designer chopped off the pillar in an unusual manner. The car was first seen at Pebble Beach, California in August 2017. Monterey Car Week got this ultra rare example as a celebration token for Horacio Pagani’s 60th birthday. Recently, it headed a parade of Pagani cars at Goodwood Festival of Speed. The HP Barchetta is based on regular Zonda that ruled the streets a decade ago. The unique approach of Pagani in hypercars is clearly visible here through high-quality components, unique interior designing and Horacio’s desire to own a car with an exactly similar configuration as Zonda HP Barchetta. The unique elements include silver wheels on the left and blue wheels on the right side, weight saving seats with blue, beige and checked covers, sporty steering wheel with a blue and brown finish, carbon fiber pillar finish and huge rear spoiler. The best part of Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta is the 7.3L, Mercedes AMG sourced V12 engine, producing 800 BHP. This massive power figure is delivered through a 6-speed manual gearbox, claiming 355 kph of top speed and 0-100 kph in just 3.1 seconds. The car weighs just 1250kg, making it extremely light in comparison to regular hypercars.
