The second generation Porsche Panamera Turbo was recently launched in India for INR 1.93 Crore (ex-showroom Mumbai). The executive variant for the same car costs INR 2.05 Crore and comes with more length as well as luxury when compared to the standard Turbo variant. The car rivals Audi RS7 and Maserati Quattroporte GTS in its segment. Panamera Turbo is one the most effective four door sports luxury car in its segment.
2017 Porsche Panamera Turbo Launched in India @ INR 1.93 Crore
Porsche has equipped the same Panamera Turbo with 4.0 liter, twin turbo V8 engine producing 550 PS and 770 Nm of torque. It comes mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, propelling the car from 0-100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds. You can even opt for Sport Chrono package that brings launch control and breaks 0.2 seconds from the sprint time. The car is offered with 20 inch wheels on both the variants.
Executive variant takes 3.9 seconds for 0-100 kmph sprint while raises the luxury feel to the next level. The car returns 13.7 kmpl of fuel efficiency on highway while the city figure drops to 7.7 kmpl. Porsche has equipped the same with rear wheel steering but that will take the cost to an even higher figure. Another feature on the same is Innodrive, working parallel with cruise control and providing a safer drive every time.
It actually maintains a safe distance from the car that’s been driven in front of your car. It then changes speeds accordingly and works as a semi autonomous system. It works till 60 kmph and can be a great city driving function. Panamera Turbo comes with Night Vision Assist, Park Assist and Matrix LED lights as its standard features. It is undoubtedly a great car and could be considered as the best four door luxury car around its segment.
