Narain Karthikeyan recently took the delivery of Porsche 911 GT3 in Mumbai. As the car was launched back in October 2017, Narain had already booked the 911 GT3 from long time. The stock car costs INR 2.31 Crore while Karthikeyan has customized the same according to his race drive needs.
The car rivals Audi R8, Nissan GT-R and Mercedes AMG GT R in India and thus, GT3 must have something special that made Karthikeyan fall in love for itself. Porsche 911 GT3 looks more or less similar to a standard 911 but keen eyes would notice those smoked lights, bigger wheels and huge rear wing for added styling and loads of downforce.
Aero package comes as standard on 911 GT3 while interior differences includes carbon fiber parts, aluminum inserts and leather upholstery. Buyers can choose from three different seat types while getting carbon fiber bucket seats will save maximum amount of weight from this package.
GT3 offers automatic climate control, Bose surround sound system and touchscreen infotainment unit as standard. Power comes from a 4.0L, six cylinder engine, producing 493 BHP and 540 Nm of torque.
Buyers can choose from 7-speed PDK and 6-speed manual gearbox. Porsche 911 GT3 automatic takes just 3.4 seconds for 0-100 kmph while top speed comes to be 318 kmph. On the other hand, manual takes 3.9 seconds for 0-100 kmph while top speed comes to be 320 kmph.
Every 100 kms of driving will use approx 12.8 liters of fuel. The car measures 4562 mm in length, just 1271 mm in height and carries a wheelbase of 2457 mm. In comparison, a standard motorcycle’s height is almost equal to the roof’s height of Porsche GT3. Simply getting in and out will take lot of practice for an everyday car driver on a Porsche.
