Porsche 911 GT2 RS, a limited production model from the leading sports car manufacturer, recently entered India with a price tag of INR 3.88 Crore (ex-showroom). The number of units allotted to the country will be more than one for sure.
GT2 RS made its official debut in Goodwood last year, claiming a mouth-watering top speed of 340 kph, making this variant the most powerful road-legal Porsche 911 in India. The brand is offering a very powerful, 3.8L six-cylinder, twin-turbocharged petrol engine, producing 686 BHP of maximum power and 700 Nm of torque.
The numbers are even more magical as 911 GT2 RS takes just 2.8 seconds to sprint from 0-100 kph. The track-ready car comes with class-leading features like independent active suspension that controls damping at each wheel, according to the road or track status.
Porsche makes things even more interesting with their torque vectoring system that helps each wheel claim the required amount of traction. Buyers will also get rear wheel steering, stability management, carbon ceramic brakes and much more in comparison to a regular road-ready Porsche 911. This typical variant claims 6:47.3 record timing for the Nurburgring race track.
Porsche has not just added electronic goodies but, also enhanced the power to weight ratio for 911 GT2 RS. The front hood, mirror caps, air intakes and wheel arch vents are made from carbon fiber for weight saving.
Those looking for even more can add the Weissach package and enjoy the even lighter body, added customization and much more than the standard 911 GT2 RS. The pricing for this update is not known yet. Porsche range of cars in India starts from 718 series, going all the way up to 911 series through Panamera, Macan and Cayenne range of coupe, convertible and SUVs.
