The 2020 Renault Kwid is all set to be launched in India soon. The spy shots of the hatchback’s interior have recently surfaced online giving an insight to the viewers on the major feature updates offered by the brand. The updated model of the Renault Kiwd features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system mounted at the centre while the brand has also offered the hatchback with a semi-digital instrument console.
The infotainment system, as well as the console, matches the one offered on the 7-seater Renault Triber. In addition to these, the brand has also redesigned the steering wheel and the central AC vents. The brand has offered a new position to the rotary gear switch which is now placed between the front seats while the power window switches have also been shifted above the AC controls. The new dashboard design offered to the hatchback is now free of the storage bin offered in the current-gen model of the car. The overall black and orange colour scheme offered to the cabin further adds to its exclusive looks.
Coming to the exteriors, the 2020 Renault Kwid gets a split headlamp design at the front while the LED DRLs have been offered the top spot. The headlamp setup has been further accommodated in a recess to avoid damage in case of minor collisions. The front fascia now features a redesigned grille which has been mated to a chrome strip running across the DRLs. The all-new LED tail lamps, as well as the alloy wheels, offer the upcoming hatchback a unique look.
Apart from the cosmetic changes, the 2020 Renault Kwid will remain mechanically unchanged. It will continue to be powered by 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre petrol engine options that are good for a maximum power of 54HP and 68HP respectively. Both the engine variants can be availed with a 5-speed manual transmission or an AMT gearbox.
