BS6 Renault KWID and Triber Launched in India: Renault recently launched the BS6-compliant models of the KWID hatchback and the Triber MPV in India. The updated model of the KWID gets a price hike of approximately INR 9000 for all its variants after its transition from BS4 to BS6.
The output figures for the car remain unchanged. Its 0.8-litre three-cylinder petrol engine continues to produce 54HP of maximum power along 72Nm of peak torque, whereas the 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine produces the same 68HP of power and 91Nm of torque. The 1.0-litre engine comes with an option of a 5-speed AMT or a 5-speed manual transmission while the 0.8-litre petrol model is only available with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

On the other hand, the BS6 model of the Renault Triber starts at INR 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The price of the entry-level model has been increased by INR 4,000 while the top-spec variant now costs INR 29,000 more than the BS4 model of the car. The performance figures of the car remain unchanged. It continues to be powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine which produces 72HP of maximum power along 96Nm of peak torque.
