Renault India is experiencing difficulty in maintaining steady sales for their entire range of products. The biggest challenge for them is all new Captur as it is not even entering four digit monthly sales. Not just that, last three months witnessed a smaller number than 400 for this premium Creta rival. Dealerships are offering discounts of up to INR 1.25 lakh on 2017 variants and still, the model is slowest moving product for Renault India. It was launched in November 2017 for INR 9.99 lakh but buyers are still focusing on Duster instead of choosing the new Captur. Renault Duster and Lodgy now feel aged in front of rival options while those looking fresh are still lagging behind in terms of overall sales. Renault has internationally revealed its next generation of Duster and thus, it could be their last chance to survive in this segment is Captur fails. Renault Captur is using the same set of engines as Duster. The 1.5L, four cylinder diesel engine on offer is good for 110 PS and 240 Nm of torque while those looking for petrol power can choose 1.5L petrol option with 106 PS of maximum power and 142 Nm of torque. Top spec variant is offered with six airbags while ABS, EBD, brake assist and electronic stability control makes the car even better for all condition driving. Automatic LED headlamps help driver enjoy stress free driving.
