100 Units of 2021 Tata Safari Delivered in Delhi-NCR: The next-gen Tata Safari has proved to become an instant hit as the brand has managed to deliver 100 units of the SUV in Delhi-NCR in just one day. Launched in India back on February 22, the company has received a positive response for the three-row SUV and as per the details available, most of the customers are buying the top-end XZA+ variant.
As far as the colour schemes are concerned, the most preferred colours by the customers are Royal Blue and Orcus White. The new Tata Safari is essentially a three-row version of the Harrier and is offered in both 6-seater and 7-seater options.
The next-gen SUV is currently priced at INR 14.69 lakhs for the base variant while the price range goes all the way up to INR 21.45 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The 2021 Tata Safari is available in 7 trim levels – XE, XM, XT, XT+, XZ, XZ+, and the XZ+ Adventure Persona.
Commenting on these deliveries, Ritesh Khare, Zonal Manager, North, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors said, “We are elated to see the response coming in for the all-new Safari. The delivery of 100 Safaris on a single day is proof of the same. Built on the successful OMEGARC which is derived from the legendary D8 platform, this vehicle is the perfect combination of good looks and power without compromising on the drive and ride quality. With its plush interiors, state-of-the-art connectivity, premium features, and competitive pricing, we are confident that the Safari will continue luring everyone’s hearts in the days to come.”
Under the hood, the new-gen Tata Safari is powered by Harrier’s Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 170 HP of maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard while the buyers also have an option for a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
The Safari rides on smaller 17-inch steel wheels on the base-spec trim instead of the 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels available on higher trims. The top-end model of the SUV also features Xenon HID projector headlamps, dual function LED DRLs with turn indicators, front fog lamps, signature twin LED taillights, and a panoramic sunroof as well. The new model of Tata Safari competes in the market with the likes of Mahindra XUV500 and MG Hector Plus.
