The 2020 Tata Nexon SUV has been recently launched by the brand at a starting price tag of INR 6.95 lakh (ex-showroom) for the petrol variant while the base diesel variant is now priced at INR 8.45 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV has been equipped with a BS6-compliant engine while the other cosmetic changes have been welcoming. The Nexon facelift has got a premium of INR 22,000 over its BS4 compliant petrol variant while the prices for the diesel variant has been increased by INR 56,000 for the base version.
Taking the design inspiration from the upcoming Tata Nexon EV, the facelifted Nexon has been equipped with an upright profile that caters to the all-new pedestrian safety norms. In addition to a revised front bumper, the brand has also revised the 16-inch alloy wheels on the SUV. The air intake at the front has been equipped with revised styling while the automatic projector headlamps remain mated to tri-arrow shaped LED DRLs.
Coming to the interiors, the 2020 Tata Nexon facelift has been equipped with a revised theme with lighter colour while the instrument cluster is an all-digital unit when compared to the electric version.
The 2020 model of the compact SUV can be further availed in two powertrains. The BS6 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine is good for a maximum power of 110HP and a peak torque of 170Nm. On the other hand, the BS6-compliant 1.5-litre diesel engine is good for 110HP of power and 260Nm of peak torque. The engines remain mated to a 6-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. The power and torque figures remain the same for both the engine variants when compared to their BS4 versions.
The 2020 Tata Nexon facelift will be available to the customers in 5 trims namely XE, XM, XZ, XZ+ and XZ+ (O) while competes in the market with the likes of Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV300. Here is the complete variant-wise price list of the 2020 model of the Nexon compact SUV.
