2021 Tata Safari Bookings Officially Open: Tata Motor has officially started accepting pre-bookings for the next-gen model of Safari while the customers can now also visit their nearest Tata dealership to test drive the SUV.

In terms of pricing, the 2021 model of Safari is expected to get an ex-showroom price range of around INR 15 lakhs to INR 22 lakhs. Once launched, the all-new Tata Safari would be competing with the likes of MG Hector Plus, the upcoming 7-seater Hyundai Creta and the next-gen 2021 model of the Mahindra XUV500.

The 2021 Safari is available in three colour options: Daytona Grey, Orcus White, and Royale Blue. The car is being offered in 6 variants namely XE, XM, XT, XT Plus, XZ, and XZ Plus. Here are the official photos of the new Safari, which is basically the 6/7-seater version of Harrier:

Some of the key features of the 2021 Tata Safari include a dual-tone white-black interior theme, front parking sensors, an electronic parking brake, a panoramic sunroof, JBL 8-speaker audio system, an 8.8-inch infotainment touch screen system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

In terms of safety, the SUV’s top model would come equipped with six airbags, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), Hill Hold Control (HHC), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Roll Over Mitigation (ROM), disc brakes on all four wheels with ABS, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

Mechanically, the new model of Safari is equipped with the Harrier’s 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine churning out 170PS of maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque. The transmission options include a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. For now, Tata Motor won’t be offering the new Safari with a 4×4 drivetrain option.
