2021 Safari is basically the production name for the Gravitas (7-seater Harrier), and it is the brand’s much-awaited flagship three-row SUV. The car is production-ready and it will be officially unveiled on January 26, 2021. The upcoming model is the third-generation version of Safari and the second-gen version was known as Safari Storme.

The next-gen Tata Safari will be 63mm longer and 80mm taller than the Harrier 5-seater model to make extra room for the third row. It will also be accompanied by a stepped-up roof for an airier third row. The 2021 Safari will most likely be available in a 6-seater and a 7-seater option.

The new Safari will be upgraded to differentiate from the Harrier, this includes a larger rear quarter glass, a new C-pillar rear quarter design, and also a flatter boot lid. It will get a slightly different front grille with a tri-arrow pattern, while the side profile along with the headlamps and front bumper is the same as Tata Harrier.

The two engine options include a 2.0-litre diesel engine churning out 170PS of maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque, and a 1.5-litre petrol engine is also on the cards. The transmission options will include a 6-speed manual gearbox and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. It is also being rumoured that Tata Motor will also launch a 4×4 version of 2021 Tata Safari at a later stage.
