Earlier, Tata added the Kaziranga edition to its much-loved Harrier SUV and has now updated its colour scheme with two vibrant colours, Mist and Blue. The new Tropical Mist gets a contrast black roof, while the Royal Blue is the single option. With the addition of these shades, its colour scheme now consists of a wide range of colours like Grassland Beige (Kaziranga Edition), Oberon Black (Dark Edition), new Royale Blue and Tropical Mist, Calypso Red, Orcus White, and Daytona Grey.
Apart from the colour update, the manufacturer has also hiked the prices of the Harrier SUV, and all the variants are now available at a price difference of up to Rs 19,000. The price range now starts at Rs 14.65 lakhs (ex-showroom).
This five-seater SUV is well-equipped and gets sophisticated features like a semi-digital instrument console, a large 9-inch Harman touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, iRA connected car tech, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, smart keyless entry, push-button start/stop, automatic climate control, auto-folding ORVMs, cruise control, to mention a few.
As for passenger safety, the Tata Harrier comes fitted with multiple airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD, Hill Hold Control, Hill Descent Control and many more. If we talk about its design and style, Tata has used its Impact 2.0 design language, which is inspired by the Land Rover. It boasts Xenon HID projector headlamps along with LED DRLs, and these DRLs are in line with the stream of the front grille. On the rear end, 3D LED tail lamps are blended with a piano black strip and look premium.
The BS6-compliant 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine on the 2022 Tata Harrier lineup is capable of offering maximum power of 170HP as opposed to the 140HP offered by the BS4 version. The maximum torque remains the same at 350Nm. This engine comes mated either to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.
