2022 Tata Nexon EV To Get Ventilated Seats And 400 KM Range

The indigenous automaker, Tata, has recently shared a teaser image of the upcoming new electric car, which is slated to be unveiled officially on April 6, 2022. In the teaser, we see “Different is Electrifying,” and it displays only the panels of the vehicle. Though the brand has not disclosed any details or the name of the upcoming car, it is likely to be a long-range model of Nexon EV.

In addition, Tata Motors is currently working on a slew of EVs, including the Tigor EV, Altroz EV, and Punch EV. While speaking of the key details of the forthcoming Nexon EV, it is reported to be equipped with a bigger 40kWh battery pack, offering a range of over 400km on a full charge. The manufacturer is also expected to offer the new car with a more powerful 6.6kW AC charger along with the existing 3.3kW AC charger for the smaller battery pack.

Besides the power pack updates, there might be some design and feature changes too. The 2022 Nexon EV could have ventilated seats, an air purifier, cruise control, a parking mode, and an electronic stability programme. This car is also most likely to sport features like an air purifier and an electronic stability programme (ESP). To jog your memory, the regular model Nexon lineup has recently received two new variants with the above-mentioned features.

The Nexon EV long-range variant is estimated to cost a premium of Rs 2 lakh to 3 lakh above the existing model. Tata Motors, on the other hand, will continue to offer the existing model alongside the long-range variant, giving buyers greater options in terms of pricing and driving range. The current Nexon EV’s most appealing feature is its well-balanced price-to-range ratio, which is why it is so popular. It is far more reasonable than other electric SUVs on the market and meets the requirements for a city runabout.
