The Harrier and Safari now have the much-anticipated ADAS feature. It has the following features:

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems

Forward Collision Warning

Measuring the distance with the ADAS monitors alerts the driver with an audio-visual warning on the instrument cluster about a possible collision.

Autonomous Emergency Braking

The ADAS monitors detect potential collisions with vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists and, if necessary, automatically apply the brakes.

Traffic Sign Recognition

The system recognises traffic signs such as speed limits and no overtaking signs and displays them on the instrument cluster to alert the driver.

High Beam Assist

This is a very helpful feature. When oncoming vehicles are detected, it automatically switches the headlight from high to low beam.

Lane Departure Warning

If you deviate from the lane markings, the system will alert you with an audio-visual alert. However, it does not correct the steering wheel.

Blind Spot Detection

If a vehicle enters your blind spot, the ADAS system will warn you with an audio-visual warning on the ORVM.

Lane Change Alert

If there is an unintentional deviation from the lane, this feature alerts the driver with a visual warning on the instrument cluster.

Door Open Alert

This happens quite frequently when your vehicle’s passengers open the door without looking out. If a speeding vehicle is detected from behind, this feature will alert the passengers with audio and visual alerts. It will aid the driver and passengers in safely exiting the vehicle.

Rear Cross Traffic Alert

This feature alerts you if there is an object or vehicle approaching or present in the vehicle’s rear blind spot for safe reversing.

Rear Collision Warning

If a speeding vehicle approaches, the system monitors it and alerts the driver. It also warns the driver of an approaching vehicle by flashing the hazard lights.
