The BS6 Tata Hexa Safari Edition has been recently showcased by the brand at the Auto Expo 2020. The brand has revealed the all-new edition of the Hexa to commemorate the Safari Storme SUV that has been recently discontinued in the Indian market. In addition to this, the new Hexa Safari edition will replace the BS4 version of the Hexa and will be available across the market in the coming months.
The Tata Hexa Safari edition is based on the Hexa 4×4 variant while features a BS6-compliant 2.2-litre 4-cylinder turbo-diesel engine. The SUV features a redesigned exterior with all-new alloy wheel setup while the interior has been awarded dual-tone beige-black colour scheme, a special edition badge on the dashboard, and all-new textured seats.
The Tata Hexa Safari will be capable of offering maximum power of 156HP and a peak torque of 400Nm. The engine will be mated to a six-speed manual gearbox while the customers will also be able to avail the automatic transmission as an option.
Inside the cabin, the brand will be offering the same 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system in addition to a 10-speaker music system, a rear parking camera, climate control as well as cruise control. Apart from this, the Tata Hexa Safari edition is expected to feature a similar safety package which includes ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, rear parking sensors and more.
There has been no information revealed on the price range of the Hexa Safari edition though one can expect it to get a slight premium over the price of the standard BS4 version which is available with a starting price tag of INR 13.7 lakhs (ex-showroom) till the stock lasts.
