All-Electric Tata Nexon SUV India Launch Officially Confirmed: Tata Motors has recently revealed all the details of its new electric vehicle technology “Ziptron”. The brand is one of the car makers in India that offer a host of electric vehicles and is always working on making them better.

The introduction of the new electric vehicle technology is one of the steady steps ahead by the brand to get a stronger foothold in the EV segment. Ziptron will act as the platform on which the upcoming electric vehicles from the brand will be based on. According to the latest reports, the brand will be launching the Nexon Electric Vehicle (EV) based on Ziptron technology in early 2020. The upcoming all-electric Tata Nexon EV is expected to be priced around INR 15-17 lakh (ex-showroom).

The brand has promised that the Ziptron technology has been specifically designed by keeping the Indian weather as well as traffic conditions in the consideration. In addition to this, the new technology will solve the problems faced by the EV owners in terms of safety, performance and more. The new technology development program has been designed by the hard work of more than 350 engineers while the testing of the new technology has been carried across 1 million kilometres.

According to the Tata Motors officials, the Ziptron electric vehicle technology will allow the electric vehicle to register a total range of 250-300km while at the same time support fast charging capabilities. The ideal operating temperature of the lithium-ion battery pack will be further maintained by liquid cooling. To protect the battery system from the extreme weather conditions, the brand has equipped it with IP67 rated high tensile steel strength coating which offers maximum protection against water and dust.

The brand will offer a standard 8 years of warranty with the battery pack as well as on the 300V plus permanent magnet synchronous electric motor used in electric vehicles. The motor will be further mated to single ratio transmission.

The multiple drive modes offered by the Ziptron technology will allow the driver to maximise range and alter their performance. The Ziptron electric vehicle technology offered by the brand will also offer a host of other reports such as location, health as well as the EVs status. The brand has also launched their new electric vehicle website which will further cater to all the electric cars offered by the brand.
