Fully-Loaded Tata Harrier and Safari Are Coming Next Month

Tata Motors displayed a diverse range of cars and SUVs at the 2023 Auto Expo last month. Tata had new top variants of Harrier and Safari in the ICE segment. Red Dark Edition variants of the Tata Harrier and Safari will be available soon, most probably next month, as per the latest details available.

Tata Harrier and Safari feature ‘Red’ badging to distinguish them from the Dark Editions of these two SUVs. The Red Dark Editions, like the Dark Editions, have all-black exteriors in a shade called ‘Oberon Black’. They have red brake callipers, 18-inch alloy wheels, and red accents on the front grille.

While these are the only changes visible from the outside, major changes are inside the cabin. ADAS is standard on Red Dark Edition models. They will compete with the ADAS XUV700 and ADAS Hector, which are already on the market. The two Red Dark Editions also come with improved ESP and a total of six airbags.

Tata Harrier and Safari Red Dark Editions get larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment systems. The two SUVs also have a JBL sound system with 9 speakers, an all-digital instrument cluster, and a 360-degree camera.

The seats are upholstered in ‘Carnelian’ red and have a quilted pattern. The driver seat is adjustable with memory and ventilation, and the red colour scheme extends to the grab handles. The dashboard is a contrasting grey colour, with piano black inserts on the steering wheel.

Tata Safari Red Dark Edition differs from the Harrier Red Dark Edition. It includes a powered front seat with Boss mode. Also a ventilation function for the second-row seats. And a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting in the doors and along the red edges of the panoramic sunroof.

Tata Harrier and Safari Red Dark Editions keep the same engine lineup as their regular counterparts. This 2.0-litre diesel engine produces 170 horsepower and 350 Newton meters of torque. This diesel engine is available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The engine will be updated to follow the new BS6 RDE standards. The launch will occur sometime next month, in March 2023.
