Meet India’s 1st Tata Punch Micro SUV With An Electric Sunroof

Meet India’s 1st Tata Punch Micro SUV With An Electric Sunroof

Tata Punch, which made its debut in the Indian car market recently, has been immensely popular in such a short span. This micro SUV has been listed as one of the safest cars in the country as certified by GNCAP. Tata Motors has loaded the Punch with plenty of features, but one major missing piece is the electric sunroof.

But, the customers don’t want to compromise on the style, and hence have started modifying the car already. The latest instance is the modified Tata Punch by Rohit Mehta of Sai Auto Accessories, who posted a video on their Youtube channel. In the video, we have India’s first-ever Punch with an electric sunroof.

As per the modifier, the aftermarket electric sunroof has been added above the rear seats as requested by the car owner. Even the designer has cited that the sunroof will never face leakage issues, and they are offering a three-year guarantee for the same. Other alterations have also been made, such as a new headliner comprising black suede velvet, which gives it a more attractive look than the stock car.

On the inside as well, the alterations have been made such that the dashboard now gets a carbon-fibre style embed which sports a blue finish to match the exterior paint and AC vents. Also, identical embeds are visible on the interior door panels and the floor console.

Based on Tata’s ALFA architecture, the top-sped variant of Tata Punch has twin front airbags, ABS with EBD and corner safety control, a reverse parking camera, ISOFIX child seat anchors as well as it gets a puncture repair kit. The micro SUV is powered by a 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated, three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine producing 85bhp at 6,000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 3,300rpm. This engine is coupled with either a five-speed manual transmission or an AMT transmission.
