Since this is the era of the reincarnation of the products that were the huge pillars of success for the automotive brands back in time, a rendering of Tata Estate EV has been recently created by the SRK Designs. The station wagon was originally introduced by the brand back in 1992 and it was based on the three-door Sierra available at that time.
The reintroduction of Tata Sierra as an electric vehicle back at the Auto Expo 2020 offered a ray of hope to the designer enthusiast in creating the rendering of Tata Estate EV, which shares multiple components with new Sierra EV concept.
SRK Designs has offered the station wagon with an identical hood design when compared to the Sierra EV while the roof has been offered a lower stance. The Estate has been offered the conventional four-door outlook which sets it apart from the setup of sliding doors offered to the 2020 Sierra SUV concept. The rear profile of the station wagon has been kept the same when compared to the Tata Estate’s last-gen version which featured a concave rear end.
Though the overall design language as the artist’s approach seems to be perfect for an electric station wagon with premium features, it is highly unlikely that Tata will be offering a production version of the Estate EV anytime soon considering the ongoing economic crisis due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
If the brand decides to bring in the Tata Sierra SUV in the Indian markets, it will be initially available with petrol and diesel engine options. At present, the Indian brand has the seven-seater Gravitas as well as the Tata HBX compact SUV under its radar, and both of them are expected to launch in the coming months.
