Tata launched their latest addition to the Nexon brand, which is an electric version of the fuel-based car and a second iteration of the existing Nexon EV. Tata launched the Nexon EV Max on May 11th, 2022 in the Indian market. 91Wheels posted a walkthrough video review on their YouTube channel on the following day of the launch showcasing the car. Although the details regarding the performance were not shared by 91Wheels, as they mentioned an embargo forbidding them to do so.
The Nexon EV Max has an ARAI certified range of 437 km, which is better than the previous version, but the real world number might differ. The Nexon EV Max comes with a 30% larger battery pack without compromising on the boot space of 350 litres. The IP67 40.5 kW li-ion unit can be charged from 0 to 80% in 56 minutes with a 50 kW DC fast charger under test ambient temperature conditions.
The EV Max heart can pump out a maximum output of 143 PS and 250 Nm. The claimed top speed is 140 km/h, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes under 9 seconds. It comes with multi-drive modes such as Eco, Sport, and City, and the suspension of the EV Max has been refined.
Ziptron EV architecture, HarmanTM infotainment system, wireless smartphone charger, electronic parking brake, electric sunroof, ventilated leather seats and rear AC vents, jewelled control knob, and 48 smart functions with Z Connect App are just a few of the features included.
Tata has packed the Nexon EV Max with various features and it is available in three interesting colour options; Intensi-Teal, Pristine White, and Daytona Grey. Tata is offering the standard EV Max model at a starting price of Rs 17,74,000 (ex-showroom) and it can go up to Rs 19,24,000 for the high-spec premium option.
