Tata Motors will soon launch its Altroz premium hatchback in India. The official website of Tata Altroz is now live and you can show your interest by leaving your name, email, and mobile number using a form on the website. The car was showcased by the brand a few months ago at the Geneva Motor Show. ‘Altroz’ is the official name for the production-spec hatchback which is based on the 45X concept that was showcased at the Auto Expo in 2018.
Mechanically, the car will come with a 1.2-litre 85HP petrol and a 1.2-litre 102HP turbo-petrol engine from the Nexon compact SUV. Tata Altroz will also get a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine with a maximum power of 90HP. The engine will come mated with a 5-speed or a 6-speed manual gearbox, depending on the variant. The company is expected to announce automatic variants a later stage.
Well, going by the looks of the car, one can easily get astonished that it’s a Tata. The car looks sporty and has got a sharp laser cut design which looks edgy yet provides the hatchback with a modern look. The sporty stance of the car shows that it will display a commanding road presence. Altroz looks sleek and its contrast colour elements add a dash of elegance.
Coming to the interiors, the car gets elite dashboard design with calming interior colours that are pleasing to the eyes. The company claims that the car has got smartly designed effortless entry and exit that will ensure your comfort in all conditions. It is expected that this premium hatchback will get advanced features and a rich multimedia experience which ensures that every part of the drive is smooth and comfortable.
The upcoming hatchback is expected to launch in India next month. Tata Altroz was even spotted undisguised during a promotional shoot in Mumbai recently. It will directly compete with other premium hatchbacks available in India like the Honda Jazz, Hyundai Elite i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and the recently launched Toyota Glanza.
